I had to stop the Insanity program after 3 weeks of following it to the T because the Apple watch heart rate monitor is not working like it should and after reading up on it, it seems that this is a world wide concern.
So instead, I went to gym so I can reach my weekly Discovery Vitality targets, else the watch will cost me a monthly premium. This is very disappointing, but nevertheless, I'm happy to be back in the gym and did a nice 24 class this morning. I can honestly say that after 3 weeks of Insanity, I was the fittest person in the class this morning, even doing some of the exercises without the scheduled rest time in between.
So my new schedule from now onward will be 3 days HIIT training & 3 days weight training, taking Saturdays off.
No excuses, let's do this!

Wow 1 Sep already, first day of spring. 1st day I used my Apple sports watch, really excited about using this technology to help me with the path to a healthier more prosperous life.
Nice relaxed cardio recovery workout this morning. So far so good this week, have not deviated at all from my eating plan. Yesterday I ordered an Anat beef and chicken shawarma takeaway, only ate the good nutritious filling and left the actual shawarma bread alone.

O'man, this morning I really did not feel like doing Insanity workout BUT, I did it anyway. I really just wanted to go to gym and do some resistance training, but I know that if I skip one Insanity workout, it will all go downhill from there. Just need to focus on my primary goal and not get sidetracked.
I've been getting up at 5:15 am to do my workouts and one of my success factors is not having a snooze button, when the alarm sounds I get up pronto!

Body measurements results from 14 Aug 16 to 28 Aug 16:
Weight down from 93.8 kg to 89.3 kg = 4.5 kg's.
Body fat % down from 20% to 18.6%
Another weekend past and once again I did not take a whole day off, instead I stuck with my strategy to only have one cheat meal, which was my Saturday lunch. Even though it was my cheat meal, i did not go wild and still logged everything I ate and drank.
Feeling good about my results thus far and I'm only 2 weeks in. My Insanity fit test this morning also shows that I'm getting fitter and stronger.
