Thanks everyone for the support - it's so nice to see those encouraging messages. Yesterday was a MUCH better day. I made sure that I ate a healthy breakfast (Special K - I know it's not for SBD phase 1, but I really don't like eggs), which held me over for a long time. The store candy dish is gone, which stops little snacking and I brought my dinner.

I still need to work on eating more frequently, but one step at a time, right? I'm feeling much better now.

I just now replied to your yesterdays post, sorry, I haven't been on as much the past week. I might have missed something but please know that phase 1 does serve a very important role when followed correctly, it gets rid of the normal cravings you have and sets you up for further success. When phase 1 is followed, it will amaze you that you wont have your typical cravings and you'll start seeing how your body reacts to various foods (good and bad) once you introduce them in phase2. I'm not sure your intentions with the phases right now. As far as taking little steps each day, well sure, thats better than not. I just want you to not have the cravings that tend to put some people back a little bit. Do you have all the information of food lists and the glycemic index etc? Those are so helpful! There is so much you CAN have on phase1, I didn't miss anything. Here is a great site that helped me out when I started here (besides here of course): http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/shoppinglist_p1.htm It has food list for phase 1 & 2 and it has recipes and also the glycemic index, read about that..I think using that glycemic index is what really helped me out a lot! I agree with ImLuuvd - phase I helped me completely eliminate all cravings for sweets - and believe me - I work in an office of about 100 employees and we are constantly bombarded with free lunches, breakfasts, coffee bars, smoothie bars, treats, cookies, pies, and snacks from the wholesalers - everyday and usually several times a day! It is just the weirdest thing....it doesn't bother me a bit to pass by it all....and I am empowered by my inner strength to do so. Keep journaling your challenges and we will try to pass along our tips - as we have all been in the same place as you! You CAN AND WILL do this and be very successful - (I feel like confucious here!)
