I find this surprising. my weight seems untethered from my diet and exercise. clearly I'm not tracking accurately anymore. party if me wants to just stop trying to control it so much and just concentrate on eating healthy and exercising.

I think you could approach this from either way as long as you don't have portion distortion, which I do. I weigh everything because if I measure with cups and spoons I tend to be heaping. Even though I'm a nurse I seem to fool myself as to what a portion is. When I don't track I veer way off plan.

I have been controlling my diet for 30 years and I still weigh most of my food. I can usually make an educated guess, but sometimes I am just way off base. I have done it so long I don’t even think about it anymore.

I need a to weigh my food too. Unless I’m not at home. When it says 1 cup, is it loosely packed or tightly packed? It’s better to weigh. When I weigh myself, it’s once a week.

I weight and measure without exception...because I am a liar and cannot determine quantities correctly when I eyeball..I need to know I am abstinent like I need to know I am sober and clean. I try to make it like a medical protocol. I do not eat any flour or sugar. Nothing processed.

Only you know, but maybe you would like to let go of requiring yourself to only be ok when you are x weight, whatever that number is. So you don't want to let your good habits go as much as you maybe would like to let go of the meanings you have assigned to them. You are really beautiful, just the way you are now.

Do you know someone who can look at your macros and give solid advice. I've had my doctor do it, my brother asked his personal trainer
