This morning, my darling husband came strompeling into the living room with a smile on his face to tell me that my scale has informed him that he now weighs 168kg. Two weeks ago it was 180kg. Although I am truly happy for him and relieved because it helps with his knee pain, I am again feeling the need to rant about the very unfair male/female weight-loss ratio. I have been at this for nearly two months and I have lost a whopping 2 kg and 1 cm around my waist. I know all the reasons behind that (muscle mass, metabolism, hormones, etc) but seriously...it's still not fair.🙄

It's definitely something we don't talk much about. My partner does not understand how hormones contribute to this journey of weight loss and maintaining the weight. Oh well... Keep at it, your not alone.

I know exactly how you feel. My husband lost 30kgs so easily and has manage to keep most of it off over the last two years but I lost less than half of that and gained it back. Again it was a hormonal issue for me which socks so much 🙄🙄

I am 49. I have some meno symptoms, but I am very grateful to say that it is nothing severe...except that every bit of fat is now navigating to my belly (I used to distribute my fat very evenly). I am also so grateful to have a husband who still thinks I am pretty no matter what my weight is...I have suggested that he gets his eyes tested. It still gets frustrating, though. I have to say that I have eventually, after all these years, started to make peace with my body. ( emphasize on started) I am an endomorph...I was born with an endomorphic body and I am going to die with an endomorphic body...that's not going to change and that's ok.
