It’s been a while. Weight still right around 192-194. Zero logging and very little home cooking. I’m all over the place; thoughts, body, soul. Shit, I don’t know if I’m coming or going. Don’t know if I’ll have a stationary job or a traveling gig. Don’t know if I’ll be single and ready to mingle. I only know not lifting isn’t an option. Lifting is the only thing I’m certain of. Lifting is the only constant. I’ll be ok, I’ll always be ok.
Oh, I was chosen to be featured as part of Women’s History Month at work… Below is what I submitted…
As women, our growth journeys are not always easy or linear. Below are some thoughts and reflections from my personal journey to becoming a General Manager
-You are not taking up “space”. You belong where you choose to belong; in a leadership position, the gym or in the pool with your Godson
-Never apologize for your strength or your vulnerability
-Accept compliments without qualifiers
-I know you are a Wonder Woman but it’s ok to ask for help and it’s ok to say “No”
-Bring other women with you; compliment, collaborate and celebrate crushing goals together
Be you, be fearless, be the Wonder Woman you are!
