It's fun to go back in time... especially to the 60s! The birthday party was great & my hippie DH and I had fun dressing up, dancing, dining & reliving our youth! But, I'm glad that today I have nothing going on to rejuvenate & recover. I was up way past my bedtime, sadly only until midnight but I'm usually asleep by 10. And, the killer is that I was still up at 5 am this morning! So, I'll nap today & be on high alert for those feelings of tiredness & fatigue that so often try to trick me into thinking I'm hungry. DH is taking MIL to his nephew's football game about 1 1/2 hours away & out to dinner after, and DS is going into the City overnight for a friend's birthday. I'm meeting a friend for coffee this afternoon, but am otherwise a free woman... and really looking forward to it after so much time socializing recently. Tomorrow we have a late afternoon wedding so shouldn't be out late.
I'm off to spin soon... just hope these biking legs have rejuvenated enough to keep up with the class. But before I do, I'll pray --
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.
And throughout what may be one tired day and each one meal, moment, bite & emotion, I'll pray, breathe, log, journal & express my way. I'm so very grateful for each of wonderful you, my family & IRL friends, the 60s... hippies and all, and having the health & wealth to live this life I love! xoxox
