Morning,
While I have been going to work as usual during covid nothing has been "normal" about life in New York. No complaints. I am healthy, safe and employed. All the hard work I put into sorting out my feelings and thoughts in my own head helped me stay strong and not fall into old habits. If anything I feel I've been on "cruise control" since March.
When I joined FS in May 2018 I was 210lb and miserable. I quickly lost 20 something lb but have bounced around between 187-180 since Dec 2018 really.
I am notoriously known for not logging what I eat! LOL. However... Here is comes. I have actually gotten much better at it. I really wanted to figure out my calorie intake if I want to shed the last pesky 10-15lb. I know I can maintain, duh, that's pretty much what I have been doing for the past 2 years. I left FS for a few months and rejoined recently and added a starting weight of 185lb, it could have been 187 too, oh well not a biggie.
I also miss lifting weights and using home equipment got really old after a few weeks. Since mid May I have walked at least one 4 mile walk daily, some days 7, some 10 mostly 4 and 5 milers. Some days I run 1, walk 1, run 1 etc. Three weeks ago I found a park I go to on weekends to use my resistance bands.
NYC is going into phase 2 of opening on Monday. Not much will change for me. Maybe I'll get my hair done that's about it. Gym is scheduled for phase 3 I think.
This time I am a little more focused on protein as it seems that when I eat enough protein my body is happy to shed a oz which all add up. My calories stay around 1600-1800 not logging my coffee with creamer/almond milk and some random fruit like watermelon. So realistically I'd say closer to 2000. I don't worry about carbs as long as I get enough protein in, some days I do well others I fail big time. Like last last night protein was replaced with Rose... LMAO Still not eating meat, chicken or dairy but love me some seafood and eggs.
I've lost muscle and know once then gym open my weight will increase again. It is all good. Can't wait to feel the weight of a barbell soon again..
Happy Saturday. Please be safe, eat well and don't forget to move your body!!!
