I never knew, until today, that I'd like to visit Michigan. You are so kind to take the time to share these beautiful pictures. I love nature. Is that your hummingbird feeder? This past week I learned that hummingbirds like the flowers of ginger plants and that Lowe's Hardware sells small red plastic cups with sticky inside that catch the ants before they can get to the sugar water. A neighbor was given a carton of hummingbird nectar that he hung next to the red feeders which was a big hit.

It is my parent's feeder. They have about 3 on their deck. The hummers come right up if you're still. I also have one in Illinois, and they also come frequently. I only use sugar and water as I guess the red dye is supposed to harm them. As long as the flowers they drink or if or something is red they will find them...

Yes I am born and raised here in Michigan and lived herey whole life... Maybe it's cause I know of no place else but yes I believe we have many beautiful places some very breath taking

I am a fairly new home owner so I just planted my first butterfly bushes this year and was stocked when I got to get a pic of a butterfly on it didn't catch the hummingbird as he scared the sh#@ out of my flying past lol
