6:30 Sun's up. Evenings it's light until about 9 PM. Can't wait until we have daylight from 3 AM to 11 PM. Love those long evenings of playtime. First few forest fires have popped up. It's an extremely dry spring, though there's still some ice in the shaded areas in the bush.
Was trying to find a song on youtube to post here. Keep getting distracted. :{) Have a nice day all.

Wow! You must be way up north! I'm in Southern Ontario and we get nothing like this, but it must be quite an experience to get so much daylight. Do you find yourself up for longer periods of time when this happens?
Nice drop by the way!

I can't imagine having sunlight that long. It sounds like Alaska. WOW! Our daylight in the summer is 6:30 or 7 AM - 9 PM.

I'm just south of the Alaska panhandle a couple of hours, Mom. Zombie, when it starts getting light very early the body takes that cue as time to get up. Which can be awfully nice if you've got something to do at that time of day. ;) Otherwise, it's a pain. It takes a week before you become so exhausted that you start sleeping through the 'night'. (Hmm, that could be taken two ways.) Usually it just translates into reading on the deck and realizing that it's almost midnight. The really interesting thing is that there's really no 'dark' time of day. Basically you have daylight and twilight. In a perfect world, I'd live up here in our summer and maybe New Zealand during our winter. I love the long days. Winter is miserable. Light from about 9 AM to 3:30 PM. Yuck. By the way, southern Ontario is at the same latitude as Northern California.

Interesting info. I always thought New Zealand would be the perfect place to live. I once heard they didn't have a lot of bugs. LOL!

Oh, upset to hear of forest fires already! We also are very dry. Praying for some more moisture, we just had 7 inches on Fri...gone by Sat afternoon. Enjoy your season of sunshine :)

Not a Tom Jones fan. Not a big Bee Gees fan, but that's a good tune. Ain't no sunshine... almost makes me cry. Love that song. Moody blues, Ella... love em. House of the rising sun, for sure, but not from five finger death punch.

I didn't think of that as a critique. Just explaining my tastes.

Northern, if you like blues you might enjoy The Blind Boys of Alabama doing Amazing Grace to the tune of House of the Rising Sun. I get chills every time I hear it.
