Well, here I am up again just over 2 lbs. Every time I eat lunch out, even though my calories are within my range I seem to go up. Lets just hope its salt that's caused it. I seem to have been stuck here forever.
Daughter No. 2 has collected her new puppy. I can't wait to go and see her. She's a Chocolate Brown Labradoodle and called Holly as its almost Christmas. Now the fun starts. She rang last night to say she was exhausted and had forgotten how energetic a new puppy was as Max and Mitzi had been sedate pensioners for a long time. What Ollie will make of her I don't know. He's almost back to his old self now, although he's still licking his scar quite a bit.
I had a lovely message from an old colleague yesterday from an ex student who wanted to say thank you to me. She had purchased her very first flat and had moved in. I met her when the careers tutor and I went to a local authority home to talk about education being the way to move forward in life. He explained the kind of careers you could have with various qualifications and she asked what sort of salary she could expect. When he told her she said 'Pooh I can make that in a night'. His face was a picture. Eventually, I supported her through her college course and she went on to university with a grant I squeezed out of a local charity and this is the first I have heard of her since. How uplifting. So although some things come back and bite you on the bum, others come back and give you a resounding kiss.
