Asarver's Logboek, 08 mrt 24

At least we went down this week but scale says fat percentage is back up so now I'm doubting if the scale is even consistent enough (maybe not accurate, but consistency would be more important) for me to track trends there. I do need to measure myself again, been over a month.

This week is a 10.5 hr week, next week will be a 12 hour week - almost 6.5 hours on the bike alone! I'm liking the training but I find I'm starving all the time. I think it's more about when I eat rather than what, because my protein and fiber is pretty high. I'll figure it out eventually!

Even the fanciest scales aren’t accurate for anything other than your weight. Having the sensors only at your feet isn’t sufficient to get accurate electrical impedance information. The cheapest, most accurate way to get body fat percentage information at home is from either a tape or calipers. I wouldn’t even worry about that measurement though. Trust your eyes. Take photos of yourself weekly to compare. Use the scale and your eyes, but don’t obsess over either. If you are consistent with your workouts and tracking your calorie intake, you will be successful.

Your hydration levels also affect the readings.
