It has begun!! Our 41st wedding anniversary celebration started early. It was to be a 2 week trip to the Rockies but was cancelled as my wife has a sprained ankle. Why go to the mountains and u can’t walk so we opted for Lovers Key in south Fla. We’ve booked a nice room with a kitchen so we can prepare healthier food and seafood is everywhere there so we good however last night a well meaning friend gifted us with a discounted dinner at a local European style restaurant. I knew better but I got a humus and pita bread appetizer or I should say TRAPETIZER!!! Then the dinner. Not so bad but it did start a mini binge last night, and of course no exercise so my glucose was higher this morning. Got to hop back on the bus today!!!

plenty to do outside to help burn those calories, kayak, rowboats paddle boats etc. Your wife can just rest and you can do all the work. fishing, running on the beach??

I thought bout taking my fishing gear but noooo, it’s our anniversary. I’m an outdoor person and she is an indoor person. We do agree on eating outdoors at a picnic table though, under a pavillion😊😊

Thanks chesgreen! We plan on a lot of touring up and down the coastline and I hope a trip across the Everglades to Miami to get a real honest to God Cuban sandwhich for lunch one day. Swimming in the pool will help her ankle as beach walking is unstable for her at this time. We gonna enjoy it.
