today is day 4 of induction and I do feel a little different, I feel less bloated and also a little constipated, overall good.
I have passed temptations two days in a row, on tuesday I didn't drink beer with my friends and yesterday I went to eat to a mexican seafood restaurant and stayed clear of tortillas, tortilla chips, and sugary desserts.
I do feel proud, but looking at my food diary I realize I'm constantly getting over 20 net carbs mainly because Im drinking my whey protein suplement that contains 3 grams net carbs per serving (I drink 2 per day).
Anyway my carb intake is way lower than what it used to be.
I will weigh in again on monday and hopefully I'll see a change.

Well, as I stated on my last journal entry today I start Atkins, I'm very focused and determined to follow it to the letter.
I like that now I can eat cheese, olives, and plenty of other stuff I wasn't allowed.
I think this change will definitely work...but we'll see in 2 weeks.

It's obvious I'm dealing with a plateau here...I 've been gaining and shedding the same 2 pounds over and over, it's begining to be frustrating.
A friend of mine on the other hand is shedding pounds very easily, as I started to talk with him he told me that like me he had failed on many diets until his Doctor recommended he did Atkins.
I don't have anything against it, in fact I didn't even knew what were the main principles it was based on, and as he begun walking me through what it is and how it works, it did make sense in my head.
To be fair, I am doing South Beach because I read the book and the ideas made sense somehow, and I still do believe in it, but after so long of not seeing results, I'm willing to give Atkins a try.
So starting on monday I'll be on the Induction phase of atkins, hopefully I'll get a lot of support from my buddies, which I know are on Atkins so they can share with me tips and other useful things.
I bought the book and am reading it, and am right now at 46% complete (I'm reading it on Kindle), I hope to have it finished by saturday and go to the supermarket and buy all needed things for the new beginning.
I just wanted to share this.
I feel it will work great.

I've been super busy here at work, I've had audits, visits from corporate, trips, reports..uuggh...but I finally found free time to post something.
I've continued going to the gym, I've been eating kind of right...I have had some slip ups but not big ones.
Stress factors are mainly things concerning the wedding and payments that are soon to be due.
I haven't weighed but I intend to record a weigh in next wednesday.
A lot of parties, fun and (unfortunately) alcohol on last weekends, due to various celebrations pre world cup games, etc.
Anyhow, overall everything's been good so far, I never loose track of what I'm eating and how it will affect me.

Weekend wasn't as expected.
On saturday my gf was determined all of a sudden that she needed/wanted to go to Laredo TX (it's about 2 hrs away) so we went and I almost behaved well if it wasn't for a slice of pizza and some chinese fried chicken (with a little rice)...ohh and a beer!.
I tried to make it up by doing a vigorous gym workout yesterday...it did felt good, and boy did I sweat!
Ohh man!...hopefully I'll still see a loss on my weigh in on wednesday...I've been adhering to the allowed foods and following all guidelines, so I feel comfortable.
I bought some clothes and was happy to see that my change in muscle is showing and now clothes seem to fit much better.
I also bought some fat measuring caliper, and saw that I'm in a "Fair" rating..it's very reassuring because I'm certain that I have a heavy skeleton structure, thus making my BMI inacurate....definitely helpful!
