The Hospice nurse came today, and interviewed me for three hours. Sitting up for that long took its toll. Making Vanilla Latte for supper hurt almost more than I could take. At least I stood for the whole process. It took minutes instead of hours this time, and now I can take my meds.

One person commented that fasting sounded scary when one is in such ill health. On the other hand, food sounds like an additional burden when the pain hits. Perhaps, I'll let my body decide when hunger signals should guide me. If sweet excites me, then I'm not hungry. If my daydreams involve a sizzling rib eye with a dark green side salad, I'll eat. Recently, I made it fifty-two hours on this formula.
Last night, sardines sounded good, so I ate the imported, wild caught, soaked in real olive oil kind. Reactions were mixed. The tummy felt good until The Monster gained a voice. I am not sure what that was about, but I'm better now.
Hospice called. My first visit is tomorrow.

Where have I been? No one was having fun, believe me! On Saturday, November 18, I finished my novel after a flurry of writing. I decided to wait before uploading it, because I needed to rest. Within hours, the pain became unbearable, and I stayed in the bathroom until the paramedics came. The hospital plans to release me to Hospice by Monday.
While here, I've done my best to keep my diet clean, but some of the nurses want to argue with me about whether fruit has sugar in it. A few times, the pain was unbearable, and look! Someone had found a way to put a sugar-containing substance into my food or meds! My bg has been normal, so most do not believe that I ever had diabetes. Sugar feeds cancer, hence the pain.
Until my release, I have someone sneaking Kerrygold and sea salt into my room for me. The kitchen automatically puts everyone on a low fat diet, and lack of fats constipated me, causing more pain. My skin is starting to hang in drapes. At home, I may turn to fasting to tighten my skin and control the pain. Also, cancer dies during a fast.

I doubt I'm going to go back and read everybody's post, unless I get really bored and have no interruptions. Right when I finished my book, pain hit. long story short, I have been in the hospital since Saturday night. Things are going slowly because it's Thanksgiving week. But I should have a care plan by Friday. Hospital food is not low carb, and it does not meet my standards at all. I fasted for a couple of days, but then they forced food on me or glucose. So I'm eating food. I don't eat much food, because most of its off the diet. But at least I can get coffee.

Today, I joined a Facebook group called, "Sugarbomb in your brain". It was started by Bitten Jonsson, who wrote a book on sugar addiction. The book is in Swedish, but most of the info in on her page or her website.
Right now, I feel that 'tis the season to suffer.
