Turns out the gain was mostly water. Happy about that. It seems this is my optimal weight. Now to focus on body composition (reduce fat, increase lean muscle mass).

Filling meal today. I'm always super stuffed after a meat-free meal, even though I'm pretty sure I'm not overeating. It's all the vegetables, I think. Fibre is really filling. I made lentil and eggplant "meatballs" which turned out pretty bomb (sprinkled generously with nutritional yeast). Will try making it again, but maybe as a burger, or make the balls smaller to put in a (no-)meatball sub 😋 for my indulgence days.
Still going strong with the eating plan. I'm now doing 4 days of whole food plant-based meals per week, and I will add another one next month. Still struggling with my refeed days, in that I tend to overeat, but I've found that planning ahead lessens the chances of going overboard. It's a work in progress. Workouts are also still happening, even though the weather continues to try to trip me up 🙄. Going to keep going strong as long as I'm well and and able.
I haven't weighed myself lately, been putting it off for no particular reason, though I can see a physical change in my body. But I think I'll be okay with whatever the scale says, because my body is slowly (so slowly 😭) taking on the shape I'm looking to end up with.

Winter is for soups, stews, curries, and all things comforting, but can still be healthy. I've been scouring the internet looking for good winter foods, and I'm keen to try out some new things. Pictures didn't come out so nicely today, oh well.
Couldn't resist getting on the scale this morning, and was happy to breathe a sigh of relief. Looks like the gain I recorded yesterday was mostly water, because this morning I was almost 2kg down 😱. I'll wait until after shark week to get a more accurate reading.
Wellness day went well, good readings on just about everything, but I need to get my eyes tested. I was worried that my blood sugar would increase with the extra carbs and fruits, but it was all good (came down even). I do want to get my body fat percentage down, though, but that's another story. All these positives are helping to lay my paranoia to rest.

I won't lie, I'm a bit down about this gain, but it's not much of a surprise. This past weekend was a bit of a disaster in terms of eating, due to unexpected things happening. But there are other factors that may be affecting it, so I'll be monitoring it over the next few days and makes changes accordingly, if necessary.
Have a wellness day at work today, so I'll be able to get a much better idea of where I am in terms of my overall health. A bit nervous, though.

Feel like I overate today, and I probably did. But it was all good stuff (lots of vegetables and healthy fats), and I probably didn't even go over my calories. But I'm so so full!!! That's the "down side" to whole foods/increase carb intake. If I don't enough food, during my fasting time, I feel like I'm starving (which never used to happen). So I always feel like I'm stuffing myself on my meat-free days. I guess that's the price I pay 😔
Planning my refeed day for this Saturday, so I'll be doing a weigh in/measurement either tomorrow or early Saturday. I'm also interested to see how this more plant based eating has affected my health, so I'm looking forward to the Wellness Day we'll be having at work next week.
Anyway... Happy almost weekend!!! 😅😁
