JOURNAL: Am very tired today. Went to Gym . Started Blood testing of Ketones as Urine Ketone strips not showing much. Sometimes trace . I was wondering whether I was doing something to kick myself out of ketosis. Well Bloods were generally good — Sugar -glucose at 87…but ketones only at .6 mmol??? It IS a ketosis state but…just barely…so I will jump start back on bullet proof coffee…and really scrutinized all foods (for hidden carbs). Could be the reason for this recent stall. I found a lot of excess carbs in my vitamins! Even prescription medications have them. Also, simple spices have them, and blends are worse. Sometimes, I think that just breathing in the bakery section at the grocery store adds carbs.

Breathing does add calories! So I wouldn’t be surprised if it could add carbs! LOL I ended up switching out my vitamins because I was downing 10 carbs a day and 50 calories in the chewables and gummies that were recommended for me as supplements after my surgery!🤦🏻♀️

I had "natural" supplements, but they contained rice flour and fructose! Now, I just try to eat the foods that have the vitamins and minerals I need.

Judy it sounds more like your "fat adapted" your numbers will remain low in this state of ketosis! You numbers are awesome!

@moogiemynes I’ve had bariatric surgery as well as emergency bowel resectioning recently so the foods that would give me all those lovely nutrients don’t exist. Even if I could down that many calories in a month, there just aren’t that many nutritionally dense foods around anymore IMO, and the one that are I eat, but are almost impossible for me to digest well. 🤷🏻♀️So I end up with a fourth of my grocery bill going to supplements and my doctor and I don’t argue any more about it since he’s talked to the doctors in digestive health! LOL 😆
