I finished a book I was reading... I am tired. I am here. Glad to have another day keto. This next Sunday marks my 9th week -KETO. Seems like only a beginning. A long time for me...but not very long in the big picture. And I am a "Big Picture" kinda person. I am always anxious to be something else. More experienced ...more steady...more sure. More even tempered. I always wind up having to face my personality which is loud and silly and
dominent....and usually very very wrong especially when I am loud and adamant that I am right. God's way of showing me. I want to be more gracious. I really love being here with you all. Kinda glad that you are getting to know me (and I you) here...rather in person where I am afraid all my nonsense would be all too clear quickly. :>) Have a nice summer evening all...

JudyRose, we both have the habit of compiling lists and future weight-by-date "projections." (It's a symptom of my personality, tending to obsession/compulsion. In many things, it's served me well. Now, I'm a lot more relaxed about things!) Perhaps more overweight people do this than one might think. I used to do weight/date projections in my paper calendars weeks and months in advance. Inevitably, I'd fail to meet my goals and the calendar would "indict, try, and convict" me. It only reinforced an already negative self-image and self-talk -- very discouraging. It was probably one of the factors that led to my increasing weight over the years. In my profile, I've set "MiniGoals" and "MiniMilestones" as percentages of my total weight loss goal. I only add dates when the goal is achievef. I find this to be an expression of *optimism* that doesn't burden me with *expectations*. ... A recommendation offered in charity!

Wouldn't it be fun if we could do videos of us being us? I'm pretty laid back - except when I'm not. I can be horribly competitive. My mother was an accountant and she was meticulous about numbers, things in their place, perfectionism & I guess traits that appeared OCD, but were perfect traits to have for a person working with making numbers balance all day. I like you just the way you are Judy and you are amazing here! Being more gracious comes with growth, and will come with time.
