Mistybenner's Logboek, 18 mei 16

Anyone know if I do the same routine for thirty days without changing weights will it be worth it? Will I get any results or will my body just laugh at me and say switch it up and add more weights? It will be better than nothing at all right? I can add more weights to the delt flies bc I can't do a lot on those but gradually I can. I can strive for more pull ups, I can do three. Whoever knew the diff of hand placement could be so drastic in up to ten chin ups but now working on a pull up. Gotta be better than nothing right?

Your body will adapt to handle the weight and you won't get better results without changing things up. It's one of the reasons you see people on the treadmill for years with no affect. Hitt training or super sets will give you growth. Get that heart rate up. That's my advice.

Any activity is better than none Misty...However, if you are looking to increase muscle size and strength you'll need to up your resistance as your muscles adapt to each new challenge...nutrition is super important too, along with a recovery day...likely there is better advice from some of the dedicated lifters here...but that's what I know...I train more for endurance now, so different training goals. Take care little one! !

Ok thanks. I guess I can just increase my reps everyday. Lord idk if can with some of them lol. I just don't want to buy anything for awhile. @Steven I've been slacking on my nutrition dang it but I've got it reigned in... Thanks y'all.

Here's my total body beast workout they included in my hammer and chisel program: Weights are 15lb Dumbbells w the exception of the delt flies which I use 6.5 -round 1 15 reps each then repeat Pull ups, push-ups, squat w wts, crunch -round 2 same reps (15) Incline press, bent over row on ball, rev alt lunges w wts, plank twists-repeat -round 3 same reps Military press up one arm then the other then togeth and that's 1 (I am cussing him at 12) delt flies each arm, dead lift, Russian twists-repeat -round 4 same reps and repeat Bicep curl downs on ball, tricep ext kickbacks, calf raises w wts on shoulders, side plank taps. Then I do a ten min hammer ab workout that I've posted before. I'll take two days off so just five days a week. 😆 then I'll get the whole body beast program and heavier weights 🤗 #Power

Check local buy sell and trade ad places (usually on FB) or craigslist. It's usually best to keep increasing the weights (if you are looking to increase muscle tone/definition etc) See if someone wants to buy yours and look for people selling theirs. I recently bought some weights at Target for $2.50 each. I think they were on sale but, it's worth a shot!! Keep up the good work and good luck!!

Wow 2.50 each! That's a deal if they were over 15lbs! I do got to a swap meet on weekends sometimes and I see things there, just going to wait awhile save my money💪🏻

Switch it up. I have a friend who is a professional boxer (very new) and his training changes often because he plateaus. He calls it muscle confusion.

I'm a firm believer in biofeedback, listen to your body. I worked out for an hour a day, twice a day, seven days a week for about six months straight, same exercises every day, I might have increased from 20lb dumbbells to 30lb dumbbells over the course of the whole time, I feel like I did well, above average, really, I haven't been in a gym in over six years and I feel like I'm still in better shape from when I was working out than a lot of guys (my brother, for example) that work out all the time.

i did the exact same work out routine for a month BUT I increased the weight every week by 5-10 lbs. It helped me build strength . THEN the next month I did the same work out meaning the same muscles groups but I changed the sets I did. EX. I always did chest and triceps Mondays, back and bicep Tuesday, Legs Wed and then Shoulders Thur but I changed sets I did and increased the weight by 5-10 every week. I did this routine for 3 months. I can say I gained strength and some muscle. Now I mix it up.

Ok thanks all I'm going to stick w this and see how it goes and I'll get that ab pic in soon. I'm suffering from entemmann's so gotta flush that out. My legs and arms and back feel great I can feel my obliques and see them in certain light. I know it's going take more than two months to get my results I want but, I have all the time in the world right now and I'm not going to waist a day. My chihuahua ate my watch charger and it has been dead since mid workout which was around 11:30am. Ack looks like I'll have to go 24hrs without it :( not going to stop me though! I tried to do one wide pull up and I got half way up! Better than before where I just couldn't get anywhere! Thanks again everyone!

You still amaze me my darling girl! I am so very proud of you with everything! Adding more weights should increase your muscle tone I believe but I am no expert by any means! I can't believe you can only do 3 pull ups though. You have arm strength and no body weight! So tiny. I'm just messing with you on the pull ups. I can't do any due to the rotorcuff messed up years ago! Keep up the good work! Love ya ! From your momma
