fatgirl2fit's Logboek, 16 mrt 16

After a dismal attempt at fasting for the past two days, my main excuse is probably the lack of sleep and long work hours, but its still an excuse. As a carnivore :), I also find it difficult to munch on veg/salads to bring those calories down, I know it has to be a mental shift but advice will be appreciated. Thankfully I am home today, so I hope that I can get through a fast day without giving-in to the craving for a good lamb curry.

Hi Sweetie, Don't lose hope! You've got this! I find that losing diet blogs or success stories gets me back on track. Try this one (I absolutely love it): http://www.dietdoctor.com/how-to-lose-weight Lack of sleep is a valid excuse because of the hormone cortisol. Cut yourself some slack - you have done amazingly well so far!

Thank you Z, I will try your advice :) Thanks for the motivation. Workouts have been great, just need to eat clean again.

There is a lot of end of season sales in the shops. Go try on a few outfits in your new dress size. Yup - for every 7 kgs on average we lose, we drop a dress size! They also have nice big mirrors in the changing rooms that will accentuate how good you are looking!

Try aiming to have 1 big meal closer to dinner time with more meat instead of breaking it into 2 meals. You can literally eat steak and eggs for dinner on a fast day if you be a little savy with the calories. Perhaps using the 0 calorie noodles can get you through lunchtime ? I also love meat but a good chicken salad can be so yummy with the right ingredients on a fast day. I found that making a meal of a granny smith apple + 100g greek yoghurt + peaches + any other low calorie fruit can really fill you up and its so yummy!!! Try it :D

Thank you guys. Its always great to get these tips that you wouldnt find when googling mindlessly for hours. I think adding fruit to my diet might be a good way to change things up BBO, I plan to try this on my next fast day.

The good thing about apples is that they use up more calories to digest than what they put into you. Some fruits are higher in calories per 100g than others so see what works for you.
