Bren I buy it from the gym I go to. You can get it from TakeAlot.com for R439 which probably includes free delivery. Prices vary from retailer to retailer. I walked into a supplement store and they wanted R490 for it. I always keep an eye out for sales on supplements that I use. Makro had a special recently on the USN Micronised Creatine Monohydrate where you get 2 x 205g tubs for R99. They only had 2 packs left so I grabbed it. Clicks sometimes does a similar special like that.

Just a pity I'm sitting in the mountains. hahaha. Actually not a pity, love it. I don't care much for USN. But that is just a personal note. Supplement politics. LOL!! But ja, what suits the pocket ;-)

USN, Herbex, etc. were in some trouble for their advertising and misleading consumers. When it comes to things like Creatine I use whichever brand is giving me most for my money :) I did however find that the USN micronized creatine monohydrate dissolved much easier than the ProNutrition one that is not micronized. Both still work :) I saw the price of the twin pack USN 205g creatine tubs going for R157 today in Clicks so it was a saving to get them when I did.

@Yolanda, as Bren.ec mentioned, not eating enough can definitely stall your weight loss. Your body will literally shut down to hang onto fat reserves as a means for survival. You need to work out what you target calories are for a steady fat loss. Dont think fast...fast means muscle loss. Protein shakes are a good source of protein, thats about it. A 30g serving will only give you about an extra 150 calories give or take which brand you are using. If you really cant get in any extra calories and you still need quite a bit more, you are probably better off using a meal replacement. Dont use it as a meal replacement though, use it on top of your normal meals throughout the day just to get the extra calories. The other thing you need to consider is, is your target weight is in fact achievable/reasonable? By that I mean, if your body is happy at 60kgs but you are pushing for 55kgs it will take a lot of effort to get there and the chances are that as soon as you hit 55kgs you will shoot back up to 60kgs again because your body doesnt like to be at such a low weight (and you would have endured hell to get there nevermind staying there forever). If you think you need to lose weight because you dont like the way your body looks (and your are at a healthy weight) consider lifting some weights and building muscle. You can tone if you dont have muscle. I use Supplements SA Pure Whey (not a fan of USN or BIOGEN and the likes). I take one serving a day with some creatine after training. The rest of my calories comes from food. If i still havent eaten enough (carbs that is), ill have a bowl of milo cereal after supper and then go straight to bed. A bit of Broscience here so dont hold me to it but high GI cereal raises your insulin levels and in turn drives the nutrients from supper, the protein shake and the creatine into your muscles. After the raise in blood sugar levels you crash and have an awesome night sleep. I take ZMA tabs before bed too for extra assistance in sleeping. Your muscles grow when you are sleeping so the deeper you can sleep the better. I went of topic a bit there lol :P

*Above post should read "you CANT tone if you dont have muscle" lol

Very good info there Trevor. The only supplements I buy is Whey Protein, for the simple reason - to add to my protein. It makes life easier and my oats/weetbix more tasty. Girls, don't be scared to lift weights - heavy weights. We don't have the testosterone to grow BIG.

I agree with bren and trevor, never be afraid to eat while gyming....it just causes pproblems, also i dont like usn or biogen....ive tried supplements sa with good results but ultimately prefer nutritech mainly for the taste which is amazeballs

Thank you all I am going to try my best. I like training and would like to look nicely toned with a little bit of muscle still learning everyday. @ Trevor the weight thing is a women thing I think my body is happy at 60 I fluctuate between 60 and 61 for a long time now but would like to be under 60 even if it is 59.99kg LOL. I don't like feeling full all the time but will try eat more of the good stuff. I bought the USN as I did not know anything else and it was on a special but as soon as that is done I will try either Pronutrician, supplement SA or for taste (@Ibiza) Nutritech. @ Bren I think peanut butter is some of the good stuff in moderation that is LOL. Bren I see that you do get away with less calories and still look amazing so I am going to try and get my calories to 1500 or 1600 a day and see how I feel and supplement a bit more like 2 shakes a day pre and post work out. Love all you guys advise and that we can support each other on this site.

Yolanda you must also take into consideration that two people of the same weight can look completely different from each other in terms of being lean and being obese. Whilst people love to be in a certain weight range, nobody knows what you weigh when they look at you :) Strive to achieve good health, lower fat percentage(if you have excess) and overall good look :)

True BBO I must just try and get over that mentality.
