So how does one make homemade sloppy joes... I've made a lot of stuff from scratch but it never occured to me to make those. But I really like the tangy version or I remember liking it from when I was a child haven't had one in a long time 😀. I bet that the kids would like to make them would you mind sharing the recipe? 

Ingredients: 1 tbsp vegetable oil 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/3 cup chopped green pepper 1 lb ground beef 1-1/2 cups of ketchup 2 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce Salt and pepper to taste Heat oil in a large frying pan. Cook onion and pepper for 5 mins. Add beef, cook, stirring until brown. Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer, stirring occasionally for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened. Serve Although, my dad would do a combination of ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard. I like the one above better. 

That just makes me super curious between the two now why would you have to go and do that to me, LOL... I may just have to mix up a small batch of both to see which one I like better I'm a person of indecision. I'm one of those people that always like someone else to decide between two things. 

Leah_guffey My dad never used measurements with his. He basically went with how it tasted. He may have added more to it, but all I remember is the ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar 

Nope, ... I completely understand... a lot of our family recipes are done by judging 🧐 🤔 texture, smell, and consistency of the dish. The trick of knowing when the dish is done is knowing how it "looks"...being able to judge if it's looking to the proper doneness. Which is definitely not a science, but an art... 🤔🧙👌
