I'm sure they must be so entertaining to watch, Melissa! Hope you feel better for Monday too, but enjoy your weekend off! xxx

Nikina, when I have time, of which I have while sick, 🙄 I so enjoy sitting outside near the feeders. I love all the fluttering and hearing all the bird calls. Sometimes they come so close I can feel the air move from their wings. It truly is a treat!

They're beautiful, so much more colorful than our blue Jays.

Shir, except for the exceedingly scruffy one on the right. He still has so much baby fluff that the sleek dark blue feathers are still not totally visible. :) They are my favorite birds! They have so many calls, and can mimic the sounds of other birds like a raptor or our Northern Flicker!

So beautiful! We only get magpies, sparrows, and road runners in the desert...

Well, Diana, seems to me you need to pull that trailer into my driveway and enjoy some extra variety! Always room for more here! Thank you, MorticiaAddams, I feel like a useless lump. I sure want to feel better.

It's nice that you have your feathered friends to entertain you when you're feeling under the weather. They are very different looking from our Eastern Jays - which are blue with white.

I have blue jays that just wait in the trees for me to bring out peanuts. As I soon as I get inside they fly down to get grab them. I forget if the ones at my house are stellar jays or scrub jays. The ones you
U have are different than mine but last winter they did come to visit a couple times

erika, never in my life have a seen a "real" blue jay or a cardinal. My life is incomplete! 😢 Yes, I am thankful for the entertainment value of my outside "pets." 😁

Fritzy, I have only seen one California scrub jay in my life! We have a few just south of here, and I hear reports of more and more people seeing them. These guys are very bold. They will come down within 7 ft waiting for me to back away after filling the feeders. I just go sit in my lawn chair and the feasting begins. I absolutely love it! The nuthatches and chestnut back chickadees will actually stay within a foot or two of me. They are so fearless!

Thank you, StormsGirl! Hubby is on his second round of antibiotics getting rid of his pneumonia. He is utterly drained. Today I finally feel like I've had a stable day and maybe a tiny bit of improvement. Mostly every day has been worse. I'm so ready to feel well again ☺️

Yearofhealth, yes, rest and fluids! I feel super blessed to have many of birds of all kinds. I find such enjoyment and peace watching them! Working all the time, I usually only see them a bit in the morning. But while being under the weather, I've had lots of time to enjoy them!

Melissa im with you on the peace of having wild critters around you. We have 3 bird feeders, one squirrel and one hummingbird feeder and they aren’t even bothered by my dogs anymore. We also have 2 gray doves that come often and i feel a little like Snow White when there are many birds outside with me. The hummingbirds will often fly really close. My mom used to be able to get them to land on her hand. And the butterflies. So many this year! Hope you both woke up today feeling better than yesterday.
