Today is Salem's 30th birthday. I am taking him to Iron Hill Brewery, one of his favorite restaurants, to celebrate tonight. I drop him off every morning at the train station. Today we were almost there and he realized he forgot his ID badge AND his lunch. So I hightailed it home and got them for him and made it just in time for him to get them from me before the train took off. Wild start to his birthday morning!
My boss suggested I apply for a position in my bank's specialty lending department. While I think the work is interesting, I don't know if it's the best time for me to be switching departments when I'm about 7 weeks away from maternity leave. Maybe when I return if they still have positions available I will consider it. Although then I'll be so tired w/ a newborn that learning a whole new set of rules and regulations might be a daunting task. Not to mention my final year of law school classes will have started by then...
Salem doesn't like his new job. He thinks it is too stressful and I think he is just burnt out on banking. He wants to go back to school to do something in computers. I admit, I'm a little annoyed by this quarter life crisis of his b/c we are about to have a child and we need STABILITY right now, not him uprooting his whole career. I told him I'm fine with him going back to school... after I'm done getting my law degree. One more year. He can go back in September of 2012.
