I went and got fitted for a new pair of running shoes. I never knew that I was wearing the wrong type of shoes for my gait. There is a store near me called Fleet Feet, and they took so much personal time for me. It was really nice. I ended up with a pair of Ascis, which surprised me. I was a Brooks kinda girl. Well, I tried them out on the trail last night and what a difference. I told my husband that it was like running in a soft blankie. LOL. I am also determined to run my first 5K this summer. Just have to find one in the area.

Interesting. My husband has always had trouble with his arches. He experiments with all kinds of inserts and has some custom made devices that he slips into and out of shoes. He runs fairly often but is "stoved up" as he calls it. I bet a custom fit sho would work for him Interesting!

Hooray for new shoes! Wear them in good health! There's a store around here that does that analysis, but I don't think it's the same name.

Thank you for the comments on my journal regarding well intended commentary by others at work and during my errand routine. I understand the "come back to our club" reference. That makes sense.
