So, been here about a week now. Not sure where I like being best online. I will miss SparkPeople probably because of my familiarity with it. MFP and this site are not quite as easy to navigate, but I am sure time will sort that issue.
As for me, well the weight loss seems to be progressing in the correct manner, maybe because I’ve had plenty to keep me busy. Hubby is getting better day by day after his abscess op, the nurse who comes every day is lovely and we have a good laugh with him bilingually in English and French - luckily we can all make ourselves understood! On Monday I got to the dentist. Good news here too - nothing serious, it seems to be nerve pain and I have painkillers and a mouthwash to use, other bonus - iguana 15 minute walk, so somewhere else to walk to in town… I’ve finally started sewing for me again. I downloaded a shorts pattern and am trying it out from a fitted sheet that we have no mattress to fit - if the hulk, no one will ever know! I did my first lapped zip ever - managed to avoid them in 50 years of dressmaking lol. Anyway, it’s nice to get away from curtains and alterations and all of my shorts are now falling down, so they will need altering too, but it will be nice to have a new pair that fit anyway…. No other real news, but the weather is staying hot!

I used Spark People years ago. I enjoy FS but I do struggle with seeing what folks post. Is Spark People going away? Yeah, clothes too big! Success!!

Welcome! I am a former Spark People user too. I started using this app on Friday and it's way different than Spark. However, Spark People is going away as a free app. So, I had to find something else to help with tracking etc. Glad you hear your husband and yourself are doing better.

Welcime and hope you become comfortable with the FS app. Go to hear your husband is on the mend and your dental issue isn't serious and is treatable. Ah, sewing. ❤ That's great that you're enjoying sewing for yourself and shorts! 👍 I've never made myself shorts or pants. I made a pair for our oldest son almost 40 years ago. 😊

Welcome! My great aunt is a seamstress! She used to make clothes for me as a child. I can make a few things but hate making clothing. I never can seem to get them to fit correctly lol. I prefer to stick with Barbie clothes, curtains, pillows etc.
