I just drained a can of tuna, added seasonings, little miracle whip, jalapeño mustard and nutritional yeast. Topped the mushroom caps and air fried 15 min. I don’t really follow recipes.

The Portabella’s look delicious.
Question: After you got an air fryer, do you fry more things now? We don’t deep fry anything, but occasionally we maye stirfry, pan fry, or sauté some foods. I’m afraid that we may start frying more if we get an air fryer, and run up our oil consumption and calorie count. Thanks for the info.

Bottom line, an air fryer is a convection oven meaning it circulates hot air. I never fried before, much less deep fried anything and i still don’t. It will seal most foods to retain moisture and make them cook more quickly.

Sometimes I stuff white mushroom caps too. Especially if they are on the larger side. It’s such a great little side dish or appetizer as long as you get down with tuna. I forgot to mention I chopped up pickles into the tuna for flavor too.

Yes, had read that, but only experience with a convection oven was with beef brisket, and oven was the size of a large microwave. Now, most examples of air fryer food show fried foods made in lieu of deep frying. If we get an air fryer, I am afraid the Little Man will start frying stuff.
