I’m enjoying my cheese and cracker tray! Have you ever seen a toddler with one? I am glad I had some when I did! 🥴 She can come grab whatever she wants, though, and I’m not usually limiting her. Little miss is still just 17th percentile. Teensy!
I on the other hand feel giant. I’m not gonna lie, cooking and baking has wiped me out. Snacking lightly for lunch, waiting to have a full plate of sit-down dinner til later.
I got a few different kinds of bread 🍞, just fresh baked here today and yesterday. I bought 3 dessert pies: buttermilk, pumpkin, and apple. Potato and rutabaga mashed with sour cream and butter, fresh cranberry sauce. I baked a 28lb turkey with herb butter and homemade sage stuffing, Green bean casserole with fresh beans topped with fried onions, Homemade sugar cookies frosted with maple flavored cream cheese and butter cream frosting, Coffee! Diet 7Up, “real” root beer for the kids and Steve’s old fashioned eggnog...
Breakfast was sent to us by my wonderful MIL: apple cinnamon pancakes, maple syrup sausage links, bacon, real maple syrup. Just one of each was divine 😻
The real bulk of my calories are from my cheese and cracker tray for lunch 🙈 I love Carr’s assortment of crackers with thinly sliced sharp cheddar.
Otherwise it’s just tiny bites of my dinner, sides, and bite of a few different desserts :) 1 tablespoon portions, Literally.
So, I’m looking forward to this afternoon and the meal we’ve toiled for hours over ...
