Pea and coconut?! Intrigued! Which is which? 

Is the bread made of pea protein and coconut flour? I've not used pea protein, though I've successfully used coconut flour in cakes and bread. 

In any case, this looks tasty :) 

Thanks hehe, the ‘ham’ is made from pea protein and the ‘cheese’ is coconut based. I don’t usually buy these substitutes but they’re pretty healthy, and surprisingly tasty when you’re in a hurry to eat! 😋 

Is coconut flour good for bread? I’ve got some in the cupboard, I’d love to try it in a savoury dish  

I think it's nice to experiment with alternatives even if you don't need them all the time. Coconut flour is alright for bread, but I do find it has an aftertaste. It works better in cakes. I made some spinach pinwheels with coconut flour once and I found that worked well, maybe because the flavor of the spinach was stronger than the coconut. 

Good point! Spinach pinwheels sound lovely, maybe it would be good for something like naan too. My other half tried using it for sourdough once and said it turned out to be pretty horrible 😂  

Haha, Nutricali, the experiments in alternatives are sometimes disastrous, no way around it. I boasted to my husband that I could make an oatmeal-like dish with oats and bread from psyllium husk and various low-carb "flours", and both were so disgusting even I couldn't bring myself to eat them. He found it hilarious.

Haha, it drives my husband crazy. He's very much into simple whole foods, nothing experimental or complicated. 

Looks good Nutri but you know me, rather have the proper ham and cheese lol x  

Gilly I can’t believe how much it looks like the real thing 😂 unless my memory has gone! I’m sure it doesn’t taste the same though 😋
