I have made a decision after altering my goal weight 4 times I’m afraid I am going to alter it again while I’ve been on this journey people have always said go by how you look and that says to me that if I lose the last 5kg it will be too much so I weighed in today at exactly 75kg and I don’t think I should lose anymore so from tomorrow I will aim to maintain and tone up a bit I’ve got a very small bit of loose skin on my waste and a small bit of fat on my chest and my BMI is 23.6 so it’s all good

A while back I looked it up for myself and it basically was saying lose more weight or exercise I don’t want to lose anymore weight so I’m upping my exercise which I would have done anyway

Great job! Well done dear. So happy and proud of you..yes, next step now is jst to tone up ur body. I’ve been told weights and resistance bands are great way to help you tone up

Hi Paul69, I’m fine mate, how’s you? We’re the feck has bubbles and Gill disappeared to? Re the maintenance your spot on, back to the drawing board. I’d increased my carbs as I’m horse riding again, not with bread and pasta and other such nasties but veg and fruit. Slightly increased my fat intake but only through eating bare naked nuts. I’ve tried various exercises and firming creams, it’s no worse than many 56 yr olds but after the effort and self denial I’ve put in over the last couple of years I want a better shape. Maybe I’m just unrealistic. I’ve no fear about going under the knife it’s just the recovery and infection risk I’m wary about. Keep pumping the iron mate, your an inspiration. George

Maintaining isn't too hard. The key to it is to not get flustered when you gain 0.3kg or if you lose more. This week i had 2 days where i ate nearly 1k over my calorie 'allowance', but I have still stayed steady in weight. I weigh every day as i find it interesting too see the fluctuations (this also helps me not get worried with a 1kg gain, it's amazing how much you can loose whilst you sleep!) You will have got into so many good habits, found so many meals that are healthy for you and that you love which means you won't have to work hard to keep relatively steady. I stopped logging in my diary for a few weeks and all the good meals i have gotten used to making are still what i eat (maybe with the exception of a biscuit or 3) and i haven't ballooned. You'll do great and we are here to support you through it all.
