I have made a decision after altering my goal weight 4 times I’m afraid I am going to alter it again while I’ve been on this journey people have always said go by how you look and that says to me that if I lose the last 5kg it will be too much so I weighed in today at exactly 75kg and I don’t think I should lose anymore so from tomorrow I will aim to maintain and tone up a bit I’ve got a very small bit of loose skin on my waste and a small bit of fat on my chest and my BMI is 23.6 so it’s all good

I’ve been losing 0.7 - 0.9kg a week so I could easily do it but it would be too much Thanks for your support but it’s only the beginning

Not perfect but I worry that if I lose anymore I would be heading in the wrong direction Thank you everyone for your support to me this is only the beginning of my journey though and we shall see how I get on in the coming months 👍

Don’t feel tat way because I was obese most of my life and didn’t do anything until I was 54 Far too late but I feel proud of all of you who are doing something about it earlier than I did and that’s why you don’t see any pictures because I avoid cameras even now but I will be around because calorie counting is the only way even when you reach your goal

Razor nothing is ever too late not many people like having there photo taken but that’s more about self confidence because you lose weight doesn’t mean that you will automatically feel great about yourself you have to work at it like your diet but the best thing is you know your limit and haven’t got carried away with addict dieting and that’s great shows your in control so now work on how you feel about yourself best of luck 👍

I think the challenge be eating enough to maintain Without eating junk food but I don’t feel I will have a problem putting weight on it will only happen with ice cream and then I will just jump on it the next day and sort it out

After losing 17 stone I’m now in trying to maintain. It’s a lot harder than losing and that wasn’t easy. I’ve decided to weigh myself twice a week to keep a close eye things. A little bit off slack abdominal skin which I’m considering going under the knife to get rid. It really pisses me off but I feel so much healthier. I can hide it with clothing but it really gets me down. After all the hard work, denying myself I still feel horrible. Silly really, I shouldn’t be so vane at 56 yrs old! 😜

George you’ve done brilliant although my mistake was diet without exercise in the beginning lost the weight fast but as you say small bit of loose skin which I wouldn’t have had if I did it properly from the beginning but exercise wii rectify mine yours is only a decision for you to make but maintaining should only be a problem if I don’t take it as seriously as I did my diet

Thanks everyone not done maintaining ever but George says it’s harder but I don’t see that if anything it’s just more flexible but I suppose something that helps me is cholesterol pushes me to avoid pastry although I had steak slices and mini sausage rolls at Christmas but haven’t had my cholesterol level checked since I started this diet on 18 June 2018

Thank you chestnut very much appreciated It’s a fight one day at a time we can all reach our goals with a little self control because there is enough advice on this site to get us through But sometimes I feel it’s comments from elsewhere that I here of on this site that are the problem

Hi George how you been pal ? I think people worry too much about maintaining there weight but it’s no different to losing weight, you all know how many calories you eat too lose weight so just increase your calories slightly by 100 calories per week until it starts to balance out then unless your trying to sharp your build it doesn’t matter what your eating as long as it’s within your calorie limit, but I’m not saying that you can live on cake or rubbish because that’ll just cause other problems. George loose skin you need to do what ever makes you happy mate but all I want to say is have you thought about other ways first before going under the knife?
