I'm so close to my goal of losing ten pounds! But the holidays are my downfall, and I'm terrified of piling the weight back on like I did last year (I gained eight pounds in less than a month -- blame it on all those delicious cookies). This year, I'm going to try to enjoy Thanksgiving by being smart with my portion size and eating more veggies than starches and delicious pie. Reducing my alcohol consumption over the holidays will also help.
But the start of the holiday season also makes me very unmotivated to workout. I skippped the gym during lunch yesterday to eat with coworkers. I'm canceling yoga tonight in order to cook and prep for the holidays. Ugh. I can't keep up this trend. Finding the motivation while traveling and being around family is very challenging.
And to top it off, I will be abroad for two weeks during Christmas and New Year's Eve. I'm excited for my trip, but afraid of putting on extra weight. Packing my running shoes will help, I hope.
