What a gross failed attempt on battered fish.
Didn’t have all ingredients baking soda especially
Used flour, nutritional yeast and almond milk
Didn’t measure, better a sloppy mess and didn’t stick on fish
Improvised and used tinfoils to cook cod topped with “slop” and air fried
Failed, miserably
Ate it anyways. Thank goodness for Cholula

try this, although I use on chicken tenderloins, should work the same. dry fish with paper towel, I mist with grapeseed oil and sprinkle a mix of mostly costco no salt seasoning and panko flakes just over the top and again when I flip. It's not beer battered, but it has crunch and flavor. I'd imagine nutritional yeast would crisp up as well.

Yeah I normally use Pablo or nutritional yeast. I was craving carbs today and this was my idea of a “hack” to get the feel of carbs and save kcals. 😆😆😆
What a fail. Honestly I didn’t have rice or pasta in my pantry and improvised. 🤷♀️

I've only used the seasoning by itself and it will get crunchy if you spray a little oil on it towards the end. and when I say spray, I think the sprayer holds maybe 1/2 cup and I haven't refilled it yet this year, so it's not a lot of oil.
