Awwww! This was waiting on my bed for me when I got home from work today. My girls felt so sympathetic about the deer eating my roses. Thoughtfully, one gift is calorie free and the other easy to portion!

Go to your local feed store and get "tankage bags" to hang on your plants. The deer will leave them alone.

Have you tried blood meal around your roses? The only small success I’ve had with roses when I lived in the country 🌹

Thank you all! And thanks for all the good tips. I'll let you know what I do to hopefully preserve my garden. It seems a frivolous thing to worry about, but like CelticPhoenix's mom, 😁❤️ I guess I don't mind seeming a bit crazy to protect what I've worked so hard nurture. I do love that my family cares. They dutifully come to look at every change or addition and nod and pretend enthusiasm. 😁 If we had frequent "midnight munchers" as Becc calls them, I think I would have very little hope, but keeping the occasional visitor dissuaded from devouring seems possible. 😁
