Chestnut - was it just the photo he gave you or the selection of meat? *grin* 

Chris i arranged for him to get grant from the local council and also helping him to apply for a business loan. 

good for you. I am helping some friends who are self employed and havent a clue how to apply for the self-employment grant that is available next week.

Belial thank you for your comment, Chris the council where quite accomadating they only asked a few questions and proof of business rates. The banks are more difficult to deal with. 

Banks are just blood-sucking leeches! They want their pound of flesh and then more of the carcass as well. 

I have warned my friend that when the governement stops the support for small businesses they will hack up the interest rates on these loans. I did work for a Bank in the City of London! 

I hate banks with a passion! Loan sharks!
