I have read that eating from a small plate encourages you to eat less and fools your brain into thinking it has had more food. Likewise with small cutlery.

Bunty145 our plates have got bigger over the years by 30% meaning we all are eating more as we fill plates. Proven eating food off a different colour plate helps as well
