The last couple of days have been uneventful, thank goodness. I've almost finished packing and we are off as early as I can get going in the morning. I'm really looking forward to it. I'm trying hard to get my head round thinking 'if I'm too excited something will happen to take it away'. That's another negative thought I have to work on! Eating has been a bit scrappy too as I'm trying to empty the fridge before we go.
There are definitely signs of Autumn in the air. The mist rolled down the hills yesterday morning and it was almost 11 before the sun burnt it off. Berries are hanging in the hedges in every shade of red,orange and purple you can think of. All except my plums which are remaining resolutely green. Hope they'll be ready when we get back. If they don't hurry up the frosts will start and that will be the end of them. Although I love the autumn, with the beautiful colours and damp earthy smells, summer seems to have been very short this year. 'See' you all in a week.

Hi Flax, I've been absent somewhat lately, but just noted you are on vacation, so you won't get this post for a few more days. Hope your vacation went well and you had lots of fun and enjoyment. Yes Autumn is coming to everyone but us! Here in South East Florida, it is still hot. Getting lots of rain lately with those storms in the ocean pushing weather in at us, but still quite hot. The lowest it has been is 77 but that was for about 5 minutes ~ LOL. Well, here's hoping your time off was great. Waiting to hear how it went.
