They're not bad dipped in chocolate. I only like little ones though and I don't want to see any faces. I've also had something made out of the flour. Wasn't horrible. It's kinda like chocolate compared to carob - it's a texture thing and an aftertaste thing.

I had a "wild uncle" who once, when I was a teenager, brought over a can of bugs and grossed out my mother and me by eating straight from the jar. Yes, they are crunchy/crispy! (He also had a walking stick the head of which was a bull's penis!)
