CrashtestDawnie's Logboek, 29 okt 19

So I’m in a lot of pain. I felt 100% before having a nap on my mom’s couch yesterday before going to the gym. When I woke up my hip hurt. I thought my warm up would help it but it didn’t. I worked out with a little bit of pain in the hip area but kinda lower back right above my left butt cheek. Later in the day, I got out of bed and it hurt significantly more. Last night I took ibuprofen but it still hurts. It could be sciatica. But it only hurts in that spot. No leg pain. Only hurts when I lift my left leg or left side 🤦‍♀️
I don’t know what the heck I did to myself. I’ve had sciatica before but the pain was in a different spot and the opposite leg. Wish I had insurance 😞 gonna have to tough it out and see what happens.
I started LCHF today. Went on a Mini cookie binge last night so fasted till 11am, just drinking water to help flush out the sugar 😪
I ordered a couple of isopure protein powders. Got the vanilla today. It is amazing!! So much better than all the other brands I’ve tried. It’s about $1 for 25 grams of protein which seems reasonable to me.

I’ve known back pain well. Had surgery at 14 years old got scoliosis and have a steel rod in my back and a bone fusion from my hip. Hope your pain is temporary!! ❤️🙏

The Copaiba oil I mention in my comment is way less expensive than cbd oils and much more effective. I purchase mine from my niece who is s doTERRA distributor, it runs about $40 a bottle. I have found it much cheaper on line by other companies. FYI 🦋

Thanks guys I am feeling sooo much better today. I got home late and had to get back up at 5am so I only got to soak for about 15 minutes. I guess it helped. I also took my magnesium.

CHRIS have you tried the isopure coffee flavors?? I just saw them online!! They have columbian and espresso. Some great reviews some bad 😒

Ahh do you do that with iced coffee or hot? I’ve tried with hot and it got weird. I know Adef does it that way though.

If it is saciatic pain do some slow stretching and ice. That is what helped me. I know it sounds silly but one that helped me the most was, to stand behind a chair, hold the back for balance., go into tiptoe and back to flat foot. Start witn 10 reps 2 times a day. Hope you are better soon.

Dawnie, I hope you are feeling better today - I can't afford to go to the doc either so when I had my piriformis I had to just deal with it - it sucks! Hopefully you just tweaked something a little and only need a couple days rest. Take care and Happy Halloween!

Oh, dawnie, so sorry your back is bugging you. It just sucks to hurt when you want to be able to work out. Glad it is a bit better... May you continue to improve. A hot soak often helps my back.

Look up psoas muscle - it wraps around the hip and the lower back. You Tube stretches for it. I get it when I do too much, or go too heavy.

@HCB, yes! That band of muscles is sometimes the bane of my exercise existence. You don’t want them too tight, you definitely don’t want them too loose and they communicate misdeeds to your body quite quickly and freely. And they can hurt in different places which makes it even more confusing. 🤪🤪🤪

I am feeling much better. That spot feels a lill sore when I lay on that side but that’s it. It could be psoas muscle. The location seems dead on. I watched some vids on YouTube (bob and brad too 😄) I’m hoping they will keep the pain at bay.
