Are you a Morphin Addict without being aware of your condition? Gluten turn into GluteoMorphin, and Casein turn into CasoMorphin in the body. So maybe that pizza craving is nothing more than a need to shoot up with Morphin. Probably would be better to have a controlled doze of Morphin instead. Morphin patch maybe. Anyway, good to be aware of these few words.

Yes Joleen. Please do that research so that you can see how wrong this is. Phil, healthy discussions keep FS alive, this board is barren compared to the bigger ones like MFP. You see insight, I see anecdotes that hold little weight. There are old bodybuilding gurus at the gym who swear spot reduction is a thing or that tilapia thins the skin. I'll stick to science.

It's a shame you can't just block users, that would put an end to all this stupid bickering. There isn't any healthy discussion when all you're doing is trolling.

I am at ease with Diablo. He doesn't bother me. I do notice behaviour that is typical for a high sugar diet. I am also aware that Diablo is not aware of this himself. It's just how it is, and I feel he's gotten much better with time. Didn't like it much when he flew off his handle because a FS user didn't have a profile pic. One day, he'll probably turn out like a great guy to hang around. He probably need a bit of health crisis first, like so many of us. It's all good. Living a long time gives an advantage, so I'll play fair. He's right about the Nicotine. It is under strict reduction at present. Monitor the progress and actually have fun with this challenge. I can also see that it probably would be worth while finding the link to the Fructose Study. When I put the two keywords fructose appetite all kinds of relevant info comes up, including controlled studies.

FullaBella Appreciate this info about the brown bar. Believe awareness of these thing is what we need to make this the last time we have to loose weight. I mentioned pizza cravings, since Mozzarella cheese is high in Casein, and the crust is high in Gluten. Morphine bomb. A glass of milk before bed is a common remedy, and it is likely to be the Morphine effect. Bread put me to sleep at sleepless nights. I didn't know these things before recently. Wonder why.

Also wonder if this Morphine effect is why we can maintain weight when feeling good, but as soon as a trauma comes up, we get in a need for soothing drugs. Don't know, but interesting anyhow. With awareness, it might turn easier to stay clear.

you guys getting worked up so easy... although, Phil is right 100% on one thing, being able to block/hide a person and their comments does wonders for world peace. we should have that. now, is there a way to somehow concentrate this glutomorphine to become rich? is this substance the reason I love my protein isolate? or is this "morphinate" part of the complex that actually gets filtered out? 🤔

I wasn't worked up just sleeping. I love talking about this stuff. Phil seems to get pretty riled up though. I think the fuse is shorter when you're low carbing. He recently ranted about how he wanted to attack some short guy who walks around town like he's big and bad. He described a guy who may have had a mental handicap so I thought that was concerning.

😂... Not sure it's low carb'n that does the cranky. For me it's the "hunger meter" and thus any type of low-cal diet does seem to trigger it...

I’m doing low carb and low cal, I should be doubly cranky according to both sides. But I’m not because there is no emotion behind science.

I agree dealing with nicotine addiction would take precedent over the cheese. I just found the explanation interesting as to why more and more foods are based with cheese.

For perspective, a cup of milk contains 7.7 grams of protein, 80% of which is casein. When converted to cheddar, for example, the protein content multiplies 7-fold, to 56 grams. It’s the most concentrated form of casein in any food in the grocery store. Basically, if milk is cocaine, then cheese is crack.

Never heard about ...morphin. I will check it out. Thanks for posting. Quick look said that there are similar things formed from spinach, rice and soy. For those sensitive to milk, soy, rice and wheat these petites it is speculates may be at the centre of it.

Crack cheese lol Bella!! I hadn’t realized any of this. Now I think I know why I’ve been craving cheese (in forms like cheddar, quesadillas and pizza) after workouts and before bed. Perhaps I need the ‘morphin’ or ‘casein’ in them. I’ve always thought it was the calcium since I’m lactose intolerant and can’t drink even 4 oz of milk or one scoop of ice cream without feeling horrible later (milk is almost immediately horrible).

To be clear - All science aside- I do not Blame cheese or milk for my being obese. I'm not dairy bashing.
