Last night I cut off my hair, as a commitment device. I felt like I was hiding my weight behind it. And I spent too much time in the morning trying to make it look good. Now I look like the dude from The Last Airbender, if he ate too much candy. I've read that a child's first haircut is a rite of passage in some cultures -- in Hindu it is associated with removing unwanted traits from a past lives. Hopefully that is true, but if not I am more aerodynamic, at least.

"Aerodynamic' - I love it. And the cut looks great.
I cut a lot of my hair off after my divorce, and it did feel like marking a transition.
