Got back from the trip to my nephew's graduation yesterday. So proud of him! He looked great and is a fine young man and will be a great soldier! It was wonderful seeing him and we did out best to do whatever he wanted during his time with us.
This included eating at the many fast food restaurants on base and in town. I tried my best...salad at Burger King and steak with salad at steakhouse. But pizza is the only thing that was available at Pizza Hut. I could have done veggie, but I broke down and had bacon w/onion. Had some appetizers with everyone else at the steakhouse (all fried). I had other snacks here and there that should have been what I brought so I wouldn't eat those snacks. Well...I paid for it. On our third day, Friday, our chill and relax vacation day...I had severe cramping and pain in my upper and lower abdomen. I am convinced it's because of the gluten and fried gluten I ate. So once the pain passed, I stuck to salad, fruit and gluten free snacks. I felt better but have no way of knowing if what I ate was the real reason for my being sick.
I didn't workout today as planned because I am exhausted from the trip (3 siblings fighting constantly in a minivan...yeah...ugh). I did go to the store and buy salad stuff, grass-fed beef and gluten free buns, and some fruit.
I have 9 lbs of....water?...gluten?...inflammatories? back on and I REALLY don't want to change my weight to a higher number on here. So, I will give myself one week of proper eating, water and exercise to get back where I was before I left.
Oh, I got my
book in the mail! YAY! I also have a celiac book from the gluten free order I placed. The two on top are library books, so I need to get through those first.
